Trick Instructional DVD Nearing Completion

Third in Slalom in Chile!
 
Joel has just returned from The Copa America Champions Tour in Santiago, Chile where he placed 3rd in Slalom. This ends a very strong year in elite slalom, finishing with a world ranking of 19th.

Massive Scores to Win Open Mens Events

There were huge scores posted in the Open Mens events to take out the Championship. Curtis Sheers jumped an amazing 65m in the final round to win jump, Joel Wing slalomed 2 @ 10.75m in the first round of slalom before taking out the event, and tricking 10, 490, one of the largest trick scores recoded in Australia, the highest ever seen at the Australian Championships to win tricks. Overall was a world class event, with Ryan Green running 3 @ 11.25m, jumping 62.5m and tricking 9600 to win the competition.

Jordan Scott Runs 12m!

South Australian Jordan Scott ran the 12m pass at the WA State Championships last weekend (3- 4 April), and ran 1 @ 11.25m. These are massive scores for the young man. Congratulations Jordan!

Yak Hangs Up Jump Skis

7th, April: Steve 'Yak' Whitcroft took an aweful crash during trining prior to the Australian Waterski Championships in Perth. Tearing his ACL ligament in his knee, Yak will need a knee reconstrction and has reluctantly retired from jumping. Yak has been a strong jumper all the way through his career and has jumped along side some of the greatest skiers in Austrlias history. The last several years has been marred with crashed and injuries, including a calf injury which has caused problems for much of this season. Yak still plans on slaloming into the future.
 
The Australian Championships are due to begin tomorrow (Thurs, 8th April). Keep an eye on this page for updates.


Victorian State Championships Highlights

Victorian State records set by Karen Jackson for Open Womens Tricks and Kate Pollack for Under 14 girls tricks!! Well done ladies!

Joel tricked 10,000+ on both days, as well as recording a new personal best and NSW state slalom record of 4 @ 10.75m (39' off)

Former Australian Team member and head coach at Stoneypark, Jason Stone had an aweful jump crash last week. After dislocating his hip and having a susequent operation, he is back home on the couch, were thinking of you Stoney!
